Geboren 1953 in Sydney.
Dennis Del Favero's Fotografien, Videos und seine Medienkunst wurden schon in zahlreichen Museen und Galerien ausgestellt, zum Beispiel im Sprengel Museum, Hannover, im Münchner Stadtmuseum, in der Viafarini, Mailand und in der Neuen Galerie, Graz. Er war ebenfalls an großen internationalen Ausstellungen wie »Sex and Crime« (1996) im Sprengel Museum, Hannover, »Kriegszustand« (1996), in Zusammenarbeit mit Jenny Holzer, Völkerschlachtdenkmal, Leipzig, »Future Cinema« (2003) am ZKM, Karlsruhe, »Cinemas du futur« (2004), European Cultural Capital, Lille, »Videonale« (2005) im Kunstmuseum Bonn, »Artescienza: Spazio deformato« (2006) in der Casa dell'Architettura, Rom und an der Biennale Sevilla (2008) in Sevilla beteiligt. Als Artist-in-Resident arbeitete er unter anderem an der Neuen Galerie in Graz. Momentan ist er »ARC Queen Elizabeth II«-Stipendiat, Direktor des iCinema Research Centre und Stellvertretender Direktor des National Institute of Experimental Arts an der Universität New South Wales. Zudem ist er Professorial Fellow am ZKM, Karlsruhe, Gastprofessor an der IUAV Universität von Venedig, außerordentlicher Gastprofessor an der City University Hong Kong und Herausgeber der »Digital Arts Edition«-Serie, die vom Verlag Hatje Cantz publiziert wird. Er ist Mitglied des »Australia Council's Visual Arts and Crafts Board« und des »Australian Research Council's ERA HCA Research Evaluation Committee«.

Der Künstler lebt und arbeitet in Sydney.
